Tomas,

Thanks for your response. I cannot seem to find release roadmap on the web. Are you talking about developer release or stable release?

If it would be a while before it is released, I may start to recompile it myself.

Cheers,

KW

Hi

I guess you have Wireshark compiled without crypto library, i.e. withou decryption support.

It is disabled in Windows by default now.

You can either recompile it yourself or wait for next release where it should be enabled.

Regards,

  Tomas

Subject: [Wireshark-users] Setting SSL preference on Windows

Dear All,

I am trying to capture SSL protocol with the Windows Wireshark. I follow the instruction in the http://wiki.wireshark.org/SSL but somehow could not get it to work.

I could not even see the decrypted message of the example capture. I set my SSL RSA keys preference to “127.0.0.1:443:/path/to/rsasnakeoil2.key” instead of “127.0.0.1:443:/path/to/snakeoil2.key” since its Window. I am new to Ethereal/Wireshark so I am not sure what the correct output would look like but having set the RSA keys or not does not show any different.

Any suggestion?

Thanks,

KW
