There hasn't been any real updates to this dissector since 2013 (https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=9244).  You're welcome to contribute (https://www.wireshark.org/docs/wsdg_html_chunked/ChSrcContribute.html) by submitting patches through Gerrit (https://wiki.wireshark.org/Development/SubmittingPatches).  Because the specification is not free, there's a potentially much smaller group of developers that can work on it.

Subject: [Wireshark-dev] Wave Short Message Protocol : IEEE P1609.3 Errors

Guys, I am working with the IPWave group at the IETF working on Wireless communications in cars. We have a WS trace using Wave Short Message Protocol : IEEE P1609.3. I suspect the dissector has not been updated for this as we are getting "Malformed Packet". Is there anyone working on this? The standard is here: https://standards.ieee.org/findstds/standard/1609.3-2016.html Thanks, Nalini Elkins CEO and Founder Inside Products, Inc. www.insidethestack.com (831) 659-8360 ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-dev mailing list <wireshark-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Archives: https://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev Unsubscribe: https://www.wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-dev mailto:wireshark-dev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe
