I don't know the process for deciding what gets included in a release build, but could someone look at including rev 50272 (fix for bug 8871)?  Since the code is in there I'd rather not have to keep building my own version for the folks who are using this fix.

I agree it deserves a backport in 1.8 and 1.10 branches. I will add it to the list of bugfixes to be integrated when the wiki will be back online.
