It is on Ethernet jumbo-capable Intel, Broadcom, and some others.  It looks like the original tcpdump developer hard-coded 1516 when he probably meant 1514.

Are you saying that rather than adding an option to ignore snapshot_length/packet size discrepancies it might be best to not generate these warnings?

I'm trying to compile SVN 50510. After running ./configure --with-gtk2 --enable-setuid-install I get no errors, but running make I get the following output:

I have already installed successfully version SVN 50460. I'm guessing there is some problem with libtool?
I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 virtualised on VMware Fusion 5.0.3.
