Hi all, I tried to use named pipes on Windows to feed tshark with
packets from an application and it works nicely (thanks to the good
wiki page: http://wiki.wireshark.org/CaptureSetup/Pipes). However
dumpcap.exe is taking 100% of one CPU. Has anyone observed this, and
is there some possibility to reduce the CPU load? Thanks for your
help, Vincent

What version of Wireshark/tshark/... are you using ?

A problem relating to dumpcap CPU usage was very recently fixed and
included in the recent Wireshark 1.4.2 release.
