For the 1st question, I think you may play with wireshark GUI/GLI a while before asking this question.

For the 2nd question, I do not understand the exact meaning of the question, but since wireshark is open source, you can dig into the code directly.
Wireshark's code is quite clean.

I am a Chinese college student.This term my teacher told me to develop a software which could display the working method of main protocol(UDP and TCP) by visualization.
 
I have some questions:
First,I want to know where to save the caputered data after  wireshark capture the data.
Second,I want to know how to realize the synchronization between the data view and the treeview(which can display the data by different layers).I think this may tell me how to locate the specific packet.  
So I think I need some help.
