Thanks Guy ... but I'm a little confused. I just looked down at http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idmr-pim-spec-02 section 4.2, "PIM Fixed Header" and the PIM Ver field indicates "Pim Version number is 2." Section 5 of http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idmr-pim-dm-spec-03 also indicates the same. Did they bump the version in the draft before PIM became a published RFC ... or is there still some other draft out there where "Pim Version number is 1."? - Chris -----Original Message----- From: wireshark-dev-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wireshark-dev-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Guy Harris Sent: Tuesday, January 19, 2010 1:54 PM To: Developer support list for Wireshark Subject: Re: [Wireshark-dev] PIM On Jan 19, 2010, at 8:28 AM, Maynard, Chris wrote: > Lastly, I am currently working off RFC's 4601 and 3973, but these RFC's > describe only PIMv2. A bunch of Googling found http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idmr-pim-spec-02 and http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idmr-pim-dm-spec-03 which appears to be at least part of the spec for PIMv1. I've updated the dissector. ________________________________________________________________________ ___ Sent via: Wireshark-dev mailing list <wireshark-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Archives: http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev Unsubscribe: https://wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-dev mailto:wireshark-dev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: The contents of this email are confidential and for the exclusive use of the intended recipient.
