The code works for TShark only.
In the GUI it displays the Octal value of the ASCII character.

I saw that there is an open bug for this: https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1372 from February 2007.
Does anyone know the status of this bug? is anybody working on it?
