Have a look at http://wiki.wireshark.org/SendingFilesToWireshark, specifically
the section on source code. We request patches to be filed as bugs, as to
prevent it from getting forgotten in the mailing list and be able to track
further development on it.
So, please open an enhancement bug at http://bugs.wireshark.org.

One thing to note: the default TCP port I put in there is 10001 which is
what we use in our organization. It's not an IANA assigned one though,
so I'm really not sure what should be there.
