Did you run “nmake –f Makefile.nmake distclean”?

I tried commenting out LUA_DIR and got linker errors in epan_init.

Any other advice ??

You might try disabling lua by commenting out the LUA_DIR line in the config.nmake file.

Subject: [Wireshark-dev] URGENT - lua5.1.dll / Manifest Problems

Hi,

I am using Visual 2008 and I can build the wireshark product but when I run it fails to initialise properly.

Are there any logs files ??

When I look at event log – it logs a fault address in libwireshark.dll and states I have a syntax error in the Microsoft.VC90.CRT.manifest file at line 11

I have installed the vcredist_x86.exe for MSVC 2008 but still get manifest errors .

I am not familiar with manifest but wonder what would happen if I commented out mt.exe in make file ??

When I use dependency tool : - it gives me errors in sideways configuration in liba5.1.dll .

            I just want to add a small plug-in !!

Do I need to use lib5.1.dll – or can I bypass it ??

            Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Patrick
