Hello guys,

I have a problem compiling Wireshark 1.0.0; I get the following error:

make[3]: Entering directory `/home/gbien/work/wireshark-1.0.0/epan'
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `inet_pton.lo', needed by `libwireshark.la'. Stop.
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/gbien/work/wireshark-1.0.0/epan'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/gbien/work/wireshark-1.0.0/epan'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/gbien/work/wireshark-1.0.0'
make: *** [all] Error 2

I have successfully compiled Wireshark-0.99.5, which uses inet_pton() as well, so I don't understand why the 1.0.0 release won't compile.

FreeBSD got through this bug as well (on 0.99.6), and apparently solved it somehow here: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=114950
But there is no clear explication how they fixed the problem so...

Do you have any idea?

Guillaume
