Hi,

 

I got the following error when I tried to compile Wireshark with gtk2 disabled option in 64 bit machine.

 

/usr/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/libgmodule.a(gmodule.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC

/usr/local/lib/libgmodule.a(gmodule.o): could not read symbols: Bad value

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

make[3]: *** [libwiretap.la] Error 1

make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/eth/plugin_dev/gtk1_chp_error_cc/wireshark/wiretap'

make[2]: *** [all] Error 2

make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/eth/plugin_dev/gtk1_chp_error_cc/wireshark/wiretap'
