Hi,

I copied cmd.exe from a Windows XP machine into the system32 folder of my 2000 box. I've renamed it to xpcmd.exe. When I run it, and type "ver", I get "Microsoft Windows XP [version 5.0.2195]". The rm is still failing. When I type "ver" in the XP box, I get "Microsoft Windows XP [version 5.1.2600]".
Is still fine to just copy cmd.exe from XP to 2000? Regarding Sebastien's comment, I can't see any information that could explain why rm is failing.

Regards,

Ronaldo
