Wireshark-dev: [Wireshark-dev] [PATCH] Short section on building RPM for developers guide

From: "Douglas Pratley" <Douglas.pratley@xxxxxxxxxx>
Date: Mon, 26 Feb 2007 14:36:45 -0000

Hi guys

This patch gives brief instructions on how to build the RPM package target for Wireshark. It just contains the steps that worked for me, and a warning on the issues I ran into. It does not contain any instructions on how to install tools for building RPMs on platforms that don’t have them, because I don’t know (although it references www.rpm.org).

It’s an incremental improvement on “XXX – I don’t know”; someone more familiar with Linux / RPMs might be able to flesh out the instructions.

Cheers

Doug
