Yes, your remarks sounds reasonable and reflects the effects I've seen.

Just out of interest: What will happen if the sender will send *more*
than 1 byte? Will it just not be ACKed or what will happen?
A receiver has a 'real' window. It will only accept, what
is inside that window. Since you see only the advertised window
it is hard to guess.
