Andrew,

Thiis might not be the answer you're looking for but depending on what
your'e trying to achive, you might find that installing linux on a
vmware session might be good enough for a development environment and
submitting patches to wireshark.

I've found this is as far as a development environment this works best
as it is something extremely stable and constant (as opposed to a
regular linux box that might be changing due to other applications).

I've got such an vmware image but it is around 800mb and I don't
really have a way of getting it you. I've you've got a server (or
perhaps we can put it on the wireshark site as a torrent feeder...) I
can put the image there.

config.h.win32 is in the subversion repository - don't know the reason
of your problem here.

Did you followed the recommendations in the "Wireshark Developer's
Guide"? This is the way to go to setup a Win32 build environment.
