As I noted on tcpdump-workers when I checked in one of my libpcap 
commits for the BT support, hcidump is, I think, ported to some BSDs, so 
if some ambitious developer were to extract the BT sniffing code from 
those ports and incorporate them into libpcap, it'll support BT sniffing 
on those BSDs as well.
