It doesn't crash for me on OS X 10.11 with a build from the current tip of the
master branch.
Please try it with the current tip; I've changed it so that, before that crash
point, it should print
NCP dissector failed to compile dfilter "{filter}": {error}
If you run Wireshark from the command line, it'll be printed to the standard
error; if you run it from the GUI, it should show up in Console.
If it prints that message, please indicate what the message text, so we can see
what filter is failing to compile and what the error is.
