To debug extcaps, better switch off the GUI.
Try to run it in debug mode
sshdump --extcap-interface ssh --capture --fifo /tmp/test1 --remote-host
<host> --debug
If you need more options to connect to the remote host, add them (see sshdump
--help). Please post the output.
It works for me with Linux (gui) and Linux (remote). I'm investigating deeper
about
- tcpdump as remote bin
- windows as GUI
