AFAICT everything checks out.

checking for lrelease... no
configure: error: I couldn't find lrelease; make sure it's installed and in
your path

Don't know why it isn't working for you. I'd say you needed to run autogen.sh
but I'm suprised LRELEASE is even defined in that case.
