IMO your patch is a good idea in and by itself.

A large number of dissectors has effects on other resources as well:
- Startup time
- Heuristics running unnecessarily, i.e. CPU cycles
- Compile times
Oh, and every removed dissector improves security - fewer loc that may contain
errors are compiled in ;-)
