My specific settings are not the cause for this strange behavior:
- I completely uninstalled all wireshark-related packages, and deleted my
account's .wireshark folder
- I ran into an error with wireshark-common during uninstallation
(cf.screenshots) - I've previously installed multiple versions over time, and
my system has been upgraded from 15.04 to 15.10 in the meantime.
- I reinstalled the meta-package, and ... nothing has changed!
My issue does not come from the mouse because I can access other right-click
floating menus in Wireshark.
So, now, I'm clueless.
