Actually that's not the right way to go about it. If you want names to be
resolved you must enable "Resolve Network Addresses." If however, you don't
want Wireshark to use your external name resolver (e.g., DNS server), then you
need to change the name resolution preference to disable "Use external name
resolver." In the Qt UI this is available in the Name Resolution section of
the main preferences window (Edit->Preferences->Name Resolution).
The Qt UI has a bug here because (I think) it should not allow you to manually
resolve a name when name resolution is turned off. The Gtk UI ("Wireshark
Legacy") has, in the manual name resolution window, a convenient button to turn
on name resolution (and it won't let you press Ok unless that button is
selected).
