Thanks for the link to g30ff173. I recall reading your commit message regarding
the magic GTK multi-line threshold, but at that time I not fully appreciate the
implications!  With your previous observation fresh in my mind I now understand
why the attached capture results in a multi-line packet-list in both GTK and Qt
while the original capture files from whence these packets were extracted did
not trigger the multi-line packet-list in GTK. When using the original capture
files the particular malformed IEEE 802.11 packets that trigger this condition
in Qt were simply too sparse and/or too few per capture file to trigger the
magic GTK magic multi-line threshold.

Your patch definitely improves the current situation in Qt by cleaning up the
presentation of the arbitrary SSID and MESHID byte values in the packet list
which ultimately avoids the unnecessary (in this case) multi-line packet-list
display mode.
Of course tshark's output also benefits from the proposed patch.
