To be precise, it's libpcap GitHub issue #368:

    https://github.com/the-tcpdump-group/libpcap/issues/368

fixed in libpcap 1.7.0 and later (possibly in one of the later 1.6.x releases).

You might want to tell Apple:

    http://bugreport.apple.com/

(requires an Apple Developer Connection account, but they're free, and once you
get one you can use that to complain about any Apple hardware or software in a
way that directly enters it into their bug-tracking system) that maybe they
should look at merging their libpcap fork with a more recent libpcap release.
(You also might want to tell them to re-release their changes under the BSD
license rather than the APSL, so that I don't have to re-implement them myself
in the future, and can just pick them up and incorporate them into the standard
libpcap.)
