The symlink is NOT the bug. The linking against non existent/wrong placed
libraries is the bug.
I did a fresh install of OSX 10.10 in a VM and there is a directory in /usr/X11
not a symlink (might come from the command line developer tools).
So the bug still remains. You link against libraries which are in the wrong
place. IF you would link against XQuarz 2.7.7 then your binaries would contain
the link name which is in the XQuarz 2.7.7 libraries and those do contain
/opt/X11 and not /usr/X11.
So you build against an old version of XQuarz and hence it wont work on 10.10
with XQuarz 2.7.7.
