+1 on the GTK approach.

I often use the various File | File Set options (Lists Files, Next File and/or
List File) to review a set related trace files.  The current Qt behavior of
clearing the display filter with each new trace file requires that the last
used display filter to be explicitly be reapplied with each file change.
