Thanks for quick the answer.

But that's a bit counterintuitive, especially if you're just installing tshark
(and not wireshark) on a server.

Perhaps specification of these fields should automatically trigger setting the
preferences?

And as for packet_flags, perhaps that should default to "0" or something
similar?
