The path you point out is actually OK.  The execution is conditional on the PHY
type and then array index for the path you point out is correctly bound.

However, there is a case where the array index could be greater than the array
size for one of the PHY types if the data read in gets corrupted somehow.  I am
attaching a new patch that addresses that condition
