Is the crash possibly related to reading a large capture file (or to doing a
large capture ?).

Does the crash happen while reading a capture file ?
If so, can you post the file as an attachment to this bug ?
(You can mark the bug as private, if necessary, so that only the Wireshark core
developers will have access).
