/me just wonders, why libpcap hasn't version string in the "Compiled" section:

Compiled (32-bit) with GLib 2.32.4, with libpcap, with libz 1.2.7, with POSIX
capabilities (Linux), with libnl 3, without SMI, without c-ares, without ADNS,
with Lua 5.1, without Python, with GnuTLS 2.12.20, with Gcrypt 1.5.0, without
Kerberos, without GeoIP.

Running on Linux 3.6.1, with locale en_US.utf8, with libpcap version 1.3.0,
with
libz 1.2.7.

Built using gcc 4.6.3.



BTW why is libz necessary during compile time ?
