For the record: your original report (bug 7531) only mentioned the
multiple-files case. If it is crashing with a single file then that should go
in a separate bug report as this one is really for the crash while capturing to
multiple files. It would also be very interesting to know if the single-file
crash happens (only) when capturing to that file or if Wireshark also crashes
when opening the file. In the latter case the bug report should include the
file that causes the crash; if it is large you could split it into smaller
pieces (using editcap is one option) and attach only the piece that causes the
crash.
