This issue seems to have been RESOLVED for me: - leaving status unchanged due
to continued windows issues.
Variables:
HP DL360G5 Ubuntu Linux 12.04 Desktop X64
Wireshark 1.8.1 - with the original capture.h file replaced by:
http://anonsvn.wireshark.org/viewvc/viewvc.cgi?view=rev&revision=44089
./configure
make clean all
make install
Executed application from CLI as SUDO
Started capture from 2 nic cards
100 File ring buffer at 2K file size
Previous capture.h file caused failure right after first file was writtin (even
with small file size). This was confimred before recompiling.
Upadate list of packets in realtime was NOT checked.
Hide capture info dialog was checked
Enable MAC name resolution was checked
Enable transport name resolution was checked.
