I have this problem with 1.8.0 but not with 1.6.8.
Win7/64 two 1920z1200 monitors. Intel m/b graphics
I did not try ALT-Tab, but I was able to escape the freeze by using ctl-alt-del
then cancel. The mouse cursor can be seen moving but no clicks do anything.
Now reverted to 1.6.8 because 1.8.0 is unusable if you move or resize a window.
