Wireshark doesn't display those columns if it has no GeoIP information.

This is typically because you haven't configured any GeoIP Database Directories
(Preferences > Name Resolution).

A lot of the preferences internals are being rewritten on trunk right now, so
since they're showing up in 1.8 and not trunk I expect we're missing some
migration code. Wireshark isn't properly reading the GeoIP directories you've
configured, and so it defaults to having no GeoIP data.

Please confirm that re-adding your directories when running trunk fixes the
problem.

When running wireshark from a terminal you will probably get preference
warnings when flipping back and forth between 1.8 and trunk (about unrecognized
preferences or missing preferencs). If you see any, please post them here as
they will tell us which preferences need migrating.

Thanks,
Evan
