workaround proposal
Here is a small patch applying the workaround I suggested in comment #9 so that
users switching from 1.6.X to 1.8 can still use their old filters.
BTW, comparison filters for int and uint differ for the "greater than" or
similar operators.
Unless someone comes with a better fix (workaround ?), I will push it later in
trunk and schedule it for 1.8.1.
