Sorry, I didn't realize that the patch worked like I suggested. So that is
really good.

On BSD (including Mac OS X, I think), you can just use routing sockets to
detect the
addition/removal of interfaces. I don't think Mac OS X specific code is
necessary. I can
look into it, but it won't be within the next two weeks or so. We can add this
Linux
specific code, and can add Mac OS X and *BSD support later. Not sure about
Windows,
but I don't care about that...
