I use VERSION_EXTRA for our internal builds.
VERSION_BUILD is apparently the svn revision. For example, I just created a
customized installer based on 1.6.1 sources, and the 1.6.1 config.nmake has
VERSION_BUILD=38096. With 1.6.0, VERSION_BUILD=37592, etc.
