An update: After having previously opened some capture files on a network
drive, then powering down my computer at work and powering it back up at home
with no mapped networked drives, I'm now experiencing the very annoying startup
delay.
Unfortunately, the delay is also experienced when opening ANY file listed under
"Open Recent:", even those accessible on the local drive. But, after opening a
completely new file, one not previously listed under "Open Recent:", the files
all load fast. Finally, after quitting Wireshark at this point, then
restarting it, the delay is no longer there, even though there are still some
inaccessible files on unmapped network drives listed under "Open Recent:".
Weird.
