Hmmm, I'm also running 32-bit Windows XP SP3 + patches.  I tried "tshark -G >
values.txt" with both 1.4.0 and SVN 34504, but did not get any Microsoft error
with either of them.

What is the actual Microsoft error you got?  Your attachment appears to be just
some XML output of "depends.exe tshark.exe".

Did you compile your own version of Wireshark, or is this the pristine 1.4.0
from http://www.wireshark.org/download/win32/?
