Hello,
I've try to capture some packets on one of our server last time, but after
about 500000 packets (15 minutes of work) the Wireshark was hanged out with the
error message - Out of memory , and crashed.
What is the problem ?
If there is a problem with the memory, maybe just try to save some packets "in
flight" on hard drive instead of memory ?
It's not a problem on the computers with small netwoirk traffic - the Wireshark
will crash after a week there, but on servers with high network traffic it's a
big problem when someone wanna analyze network traffic from longest time or
monitoring it in real time - 24/7.
Maybe you could modify this application to make possible save the captured
packets in flight on the hard drive instead of memory ?
