OK:

    1) As long as, when the title bar *doesn't* contain the version, when you
have an open file with a name it displays as "{filename} - Wireshark", I don't
strongly care how it's displayed when the title bar contains the version. For
consistency, "{filename} - Wireshark {version}" might be better, but if one of
the goals of putting the version into the title is to have it show up in
taskbars etc., it might need to be at the beginning of the title.

    2) So does nobody care about seeing the version of Wireshark in the window
title if Wireshark is currently capturing traffic or if it has a capture that
hasn't been saved to a permanent file yet?

    3) It's not a feature that clicking the checkbox doesn't change the title
in the current session, any more than it's a feature that it doesn't change the
welcome screen in the current session. The preference code for that preference
should make whatever calls are needed to update the current session's display.
