I found a solution for my system. I had autoconf version 2.63 installed.
Apparently, the change in ./configure.in at line 119 in version 28874, requires
autoconf 2.64.
Can someone confirm this? If so, where is this documented that autoconf 2.64
is required? If it's just my ignorance, then this report can be closed as
resolved.
