Hi,
a capture file has been attached for test.
it_pad2 is only for padding purpose to make the structure a multiple of 64bits.
Because the timestamp field following the header is 64 bits, a mis-alignment
sometimes cause problems on reading correct bits from those fields.

I'm not sure what do you mean for "the extra 8 bytes length". Please clarify.
