Wireshark-bugs: [Wireshark-bugs] [Bug 1869] "Forward" and "backward" button for Filter request

--- Comment #2 from Stephen Fisher <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> 2009-12-16 15:42:37 MST ---
I know this request is old, but especially lately, I've really been wanting
some sort of arrows to change and immediately apply the previous or next filter
so I can change back and forth without clicking to open the drop-down and then
thinking about whether the latest filters are on top or bottom (top it turns
out) and then clicking it and then hitting apply.

Is anyone else interested these days?

I understand Sake's concern about having too many buttons in the GUI, and while
my next reflex would be to say make it a preference to enable them, other
developers advocate not making too many preferences, which I also understand.
