The "Output to file" print option, when limited to the "Packet summary line",
is an extremely useful feature for getting trace data into Microsoft Excel for
further manipulation. Currently, we must use Excel’s "Text to Columns"
feature with a space delimiter to put the trace data into separate columns in
Excel. It would greatly help to be able to print the entire summary list to a
file using a CSV format. This would improve our ability to easily and
correctly import the trace data into Excel.

Would it be possible to add a checkbox to the <Print> "Output to file"
selection to specify the use of a CSV format for the summary data. Something
like:

( ) Use CSV format for Packet summary line data

Perhaps when you check this item it would uncheck and disable the "Packet
details" and "Packet bytes" options since this seems to make sense only for
"Packet summary line".

I use this technique repeatedly and having a CSV option would be awesome.

I love Wireshark. Thanks to all the developers for this great product.
