I don't have the code in front of me but when I looked inside the make-manuf.pl
file there was a comment in there along the lines of limiting the OUI names to
"something reasonable". 

Aside from a few extra chars that would need to be stored in memory I don't see
much of a reason that it would be a bad thing to change the value of
MAXMANUFLEN to something more usable such as 15-20 characters.
