The Wireshark PPPoE dissector could use some work, like the way you suggested
not omitting unknown TLVs. It should be fixed to match
http://www.iana.org/assignments/pppoe-parameters (last updated 2007-07-10).
Looking at that file though I notice tag 0x0100 is unassigned. This was
intentional? At least it provides a testcase for unknown tags.
