I've found that all I need to do to cause the crash is:
a. start Wireshark
b: open the Capture ! Options window
c: Open and then close the drop-down list without changing the selection.
(ie: Hit the arrow to the right of the widget twice).
d. hit the cancel button on the window
(There is no crash when canceling the window w/o opening the drop-down list).
Next up: create a simple test program and see what happens.
