Note that an 'nmake ... distclean' must be done after any changes to
config.nmake.
Could this be why your compile failed ?
The distclean is required because the Windows build scripts currently do not
have dependency tracking for include files (and thus, for example, an updated
config.h will not force a re-compile of everything which references that file).
I'll update the Developer's Guide to make this clear.
